Pink Chakra

“Pink Chakra” is a very intricate piece of artwork that I created combining watercolors and Zentangle art form. The monochromatic pink circles are the base for elegant and intricate patterns with black ink.
Pink is the color of universal love and symbolizes joy and happiness. Pink is a combination of red and white. The quality of energy in pink is determined by the amount of red present in it. Pink combines these energies. Shades of deep pink, such as magenta, are effective in neutralizing disorder and violence. Pink provides feelings of caring, tenderness, self-worth, love, and acceptance. Add pink to your life for calm feelings, relaxation, acceptance, contentment and to neutralize disorder.
Chakra is a Sanskrit word which means "Circle" or "Wheel". In the Hindu and Buddhist religious traditions the sacred art often takes a Mandala form (Circle form). These mandalas, concentric diagrams, have spiritual and ritual significance in both Buddhism and Hinduism. The term is of Hindu origin and appears in the Rig Veda.
A mandala is employed for focusing attention of aspirants and adepts, as a spiritual teaching tool, for establishing a sacred space, and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. Scientifically, its symbolic nature can help one to access progressively deeper levels of the unconscious, ultimately assisting the meditator to experience a mystical sense of oneness with the ultimate unity from which the cosmos in all its manifold forms arises. It is therefor considered as a representation of the unconscious self and represents the entire universe.
The art is created on Arches watercolor paper , with Pink shades of watercolor . The zentangle patterns on the Pink Circles are created with black Sakura Pen. The painting measures 23"x 23" . The watercolor paper has been glued to the plyboard and is ready to Hang.
