A Rose is a Rose is a Rose…. worked on this painting from a photograph, tender white rose flowers with pink tips…. I really enjoyed painting this artwork… solving the mystery of creating all those petals with fewer brush strokes and all that without mudding the whites was a challenge. The blue and ochre background pushes the flowers to the foreground and literarily brings out the flowers.
