The past couple of weeks have been quite busy with the school year coming to an end, as well as helping my son with his final exams and working on my own project for an upcoming show. I have to admit that I could barely find the time to create a Zentangle. However, I was excited to get started on the new Project Pack 20 by Zentangle Inc. Yesterday, I set aside time to begin my first project, but to my surprise, my lines were going wonky and wouldn't cooperate with me. To recenter myself, I took a couple of deep breaths and slowed down with my pen work, going back to the basics. I was patient with myself and proceeded slowly and steadily, and by the end of the tile, I was smiling at my creation. Starting again after taking a break can be challenging, but it is a necessary step when you want to continue learning, enjoying, and making progress. It can be difficult to regain the momentum you once had, but the first step is to start. Followed by setting realistic expectations, starting small, and celebrating your progress. That's how you regain the confidence and continue to make meaningful progress.
