Lines That Breathe

Lines That Breathe

It’s already a week into the new year, and I’m gently settling into the rhythm of 2026. Instead of rushing into grand resolutions, I’ve chosen to introduce a few thoughtful shifts in my Zentangle practice—small, intentional changes that feel both sustainable and nourishing.

One of the changes is a return to familiar tangles I haven’t visited in a while. Revisiting old patterns with fresh eyes is always fun as they hold memory, muscle rhythm, and a sense of ease, yet they continue to reveal something new each time.

In this piece, I explored Rumpus, Flux, Zenith, and Jetties. Together, they formed a composition that felt both grounding and expansive.

This practice was a gentle reminder that growth doesn’t always mean learning something new. Sometimes, it’s about reconnecting—with patterns, with process, and with breath. Letting the pen slow down, the lines soften, and the moment unfold naturally.
