For my latest Zentangle tile, I explored Seiretsu from the ToYou Tangle 2025 series. It’s such a fun and fascinating tangle—with its organic, free-flowing nature, it brought a sense of movement and play into the composition. I chose to use it as abstract petals, and it really added a lively, whimsical touch to the piece.
To bring in some contrast and rhythm, I added Striping, which always grounds the tile beautifully. But what thrilled me most was returning to Rick’s Paradox in the center—what an awesome tangle! It’s been ages since I last used it, and drawing those sharp, spiraling lines brought back so many memories from my early Zentangle days.
There was something deeply nostalgic and satisfying about it… like revisiting an old friend. I’m already thinking about ways to bring Paradox back into my upcoming tiles.
This session reminded me how much joy there is in rediscovering tangles and mixing them with new ones. The magic lies in the contrasts, the flow—and in letting the lines surprise you.
