Day 3 of PP28 unfolds as a gentle, unassuming exploration—simple in structure, yet rich in intention. The project draws inspiration from the ideas and patterns of the Renaissance, where balance, rhythm, and thoughtful repetition quietly hold everything together. I allowed myself to keep the tile minimal, letting the design breathe rather than filling every space.
I found myself playing with Diva Dance in a way that is new and softer. Instead of its usual bold presence, I leaned into a more subtle, flowy interpretation—one that moved gently across the tile. The other tangle Huggins is my centre piece. By adding more weight and depth to its curves, I introduced moments of drama and grounding, creating a beautiful contrast to the lightness of Diva Dance.
As I worked through the lines, my thoughts kept returning to the idea of being fully present. Zentangle constantly invites us into this space—where the only thing that matters is the line we are drawing right now. Not the one before it, and not the one yet to come. Just this moment, this stroke, this breath.
Living in the present is a simple idea, yet deeply powerful. So many emotional struggles arise when we are caught between memories of the past and worries about the future. This tile became a quiet reminder that peace often lives in the now. With each line, I returned to that awareness, allowing the drawing to become not just an artwork, but a mindful pause within the day.
