Here’s my tile for Day 1 of To You Tangle 2025—a lovely set of prompts from the Japanese CZTs who host this annual Zentangle celebration. The tangle choices were a fun mix, and I really enjoyed letting the composition unfold. I had just returned to the studio after a whirlwind of last-minute travel (mom life, right?), and this was the perfect way to ground myself again. There’s something so calming about that first stroke on fresh tile paper, especially after a busy few days. Still catching up on messages, art plans, and a bit of routine—but pausing to tangle felt like a gentle way to ease back in.
