The past few days have been a whirlwind of weather here by the Bay. We were hit by a moderate to severe cyclone, and the rain poured down endlessly, and turned everything grey. While the winds howled outside, I was grateful to be safe at home, listening to the winds and watching rhythmic downpour of the rain. There’s something quietly comforting about those moments—when nature is fierce, yet you find a pocket of stillness within it.
Finally today, the sun came out. The light feels almost golden, touching every leaf, every wall, every puddle with new life. The air is crisp, the earth smells rich, everything looks freshly washeded and vibrant.
I created this tile inspired by all this lush greenery, using some of my favourite nature-inspired tangles: Inaflux, Marasu, Laflore, Printemps, Shattuck, Pokeleaf, and Flormeoba.
Grateful for sunshine. Grateful for art. Grateful for the calm after the storm.
