Who knew a ventilator could spark joy? đ
Last week, while strolling through the charming old town of Munich, I found myself unexpectedly fascinated by a simple round grill tucked into the walls of the grand Munich Residenz. Not a painting, not a sculpture⌠a ventilator! But there it wasâquietly showing off the most delightful circular string.
That fleeting momentn my brain went: âThatâs a Zentangle waiting to happen.â Â
Back home in Amsterdam, I found myself reaching for a tan tile, eager to translate that quiet inspiration into form. I decpnstructed the circular structure which then became my guide, a soft framework within which my pen could wander freely. I chose to enrich its simplicity with a palette drawn from Indian royaltyâdeep purples, rich reds, touches of gold, and turquoise blueâbringing warmth and vibrancy to the composition.
This tile didnât demand a crowd of tangles. Instead, it invited me to relax, to wander along the curves, and let my pen do its own little dance. No pressure, no overthinkingâjust pure, playful flow.
And thatâs the magic, isnât it? Inspiration doesnât always shout. Sometimes, it peeks at you from a wall, disguised as something utterly ordinary⌠until you look a little closer. It simply asks us to notice, to pause, and to respond. Inspiration is, truly, everywhereâquietly waiting for us to see it.
Wow! Itâs gorgeous. What a wonderful find!
