In continuation of the inspiration I found from the vibrant Onam PooKKalams, I created another Zentangle Inspired Art piece on a black tile, using colors and a few carefully chosen tangles. There’s something truly special about adding color to a tile. No matter how much I adore the timeless elegance of black-and-white Zentangle, working with colors always fills me with joy. It opens up new possibilities, invites experimentation, and adds a sense of warmth and playfulness—almost making it festive.
I chose limited tangles so the focus could be more on how the colors interact, how shading and blending bring in depth, and how even small strokes can transform the entire composition. It’s a process that feels freeing—like painting with patterns rather than following strict rules.
The floral arrangements inspired me to explore textures, contrasts, and subtle details while staying mindful and present in the moment. It’s amazing how color instantly lifts a design and invites a sense of wonder.
P.S. I’m in a faraway land, joined by my tribe of fellow tanglers from across the globe. I’m immersing myself in creativity, sharing ideas, and soaking in new inspirations.
Once I’m back, I’ll share all the stories, experiences, and artworks from this journey. Watch out for my next email! Until then, I have my colors and patterns with me—ready to tangle across borders!
