The very first thing I did after reaching home from the Tangle Retreat 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was reach for a tile. Before even unpacking my bags, I felt an irresistible urge to let the pen flow and capture the inspiration still buzzing within me.

I chose a quick Zentangle with some of my all-time favorite tangles—Fengle, Punzel, Crescent Moon, Finery, Purk, and Mooka. Simple yet deeply satisfying, each stroke felt like a continuation of the retreat’s energy. Fengle gave me a bold, graceful start, while Punzel wove in a sense of rhythm. Crescent Moon grounded the tile with familiar comfort, Purk added its playful dimension, Finery laced in elegance, and Mooka’s organic curves brought everything together beautifully.

It was a gentle reminder that Zentangle doesn’t need hours—it just needs presence. Sometimes, a simple tile is enough to reconnect with joy, calm, and creativity.
