Living by the sea, I’ve always been mesmerized by seashells — those tiny treasures shaped by waves and time. Each one feels like a gift from nature, waiting quietly on the shore for someone to notice its beauty.

So when it came to designing my class project for the Goa Edition, the theme was an easy pick — Sea Shells! I mean, who can resist those little ocean souvenirs? Each shell feels like the sea saying, “Here, I made this just for you!”

We worked on the Translucent Zendala tile for this session, the perfect surface to capture that soft, glowy essence of shells. It was an elaborate class — layering, tangling, and watching the artwork slowly reveal its magic. The best part? Seeing how each participant brought their own version of the sea to life — from gentle spirals to bold, ocean-inspired designs.

Honestly, I’m blown away by how beautifully everyone translated the theme! Every single tile was stunning — felt just like discovering a shell you’ve never seen before, right when you thought you’d found them all.
