The winter break, when kids are home, is actually a super busy time for me! For them, it’s a break from school, but for me, it’s a whirlwind of appointments. Dentists, eye doctors, and now, thanks to teenage acne and pimples, we’ve added a skin doctor to the list. And of course, there are the follow-ups—so many follow-ups. Phew! Honestly, the only thing keeping me sane these days is Zentangle.
This meditative art form is my little escape. Zentangle involves drawing structured patterns, called "tangles," within a defined space. The best part? It’s so simple! All you need is paper, a pen, and a willingness to let go of perfection. It’s not about creating a masterpiece; it’s about enjoying the process and letting each deliberate stroke bring a bit of calm.
As I lose myself in those intricate patterns, the chaos of the day fades away. The repetitive nature of tangling quiets my mind, making it an amazing stress reliever. Plus, creating something beautiful—even something small—gives me a confidence boost and a sense of mindfulness.
All it takes is ten minutes a day. This little ritual has become my cherished time, bringing balance, creativity, and a sprinkle of joy to my life. Do you take time for yourself whats your self-care ritual.
I created this tile while catching up with my bestie talking all thing kids, it was very relaxing 😃
