I had the privilege of attending the first ZenAgain event back in 2016, and it was an incredible experience. Reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and interacting with the founders was a highlight. I always find it exciting to learn new techniques, and the introduction of the 3Z tiles at that event sparked so many creative ideas. Over the years, I've experimented with various 3Zs and have come to appreciate their simplicity and ability to create stunning meta designs.

As I continue preparing for ZenAgain 2025, here’s my second warm-up tile, featuring the tangle Ratoon. I decided to work on a black tile for this project and took a slightly different approach with the background tangles. If I may say so myself, I’m quite fond of how it turned out. Currently, I’m at the Pine Creek Retreat in Pennsylvania, hosted by Sheila Grube. Stay tuned for all the fun details from this retreat! In just a few days, we’ll be heading to Connecticut for ZenAgain.

For my third warm-up tile for ZenAgain, I used the tangle enhancer Tucker. Tucker creates the illusion of a tangle piercing through a slice of paper. I kept it simple with a black-and-white tile and tucked in some spring abundance for a touch of seasonal charm.

My final warm-up tile was inspired by tangles from a page in the Zenthology book. I opened to the lovely and timeless triangle and circle fragments. I worked with some fun fragments on a tan tile, incorporating a playful string to complete the design.
