A Quiet Break from the Indian Summers

A Quiet Break from the Indian Summers

Escaping the intensity of the Indian summer, I find myself wrapped in layers, soaking in the gentle chill of the Netherlands. This pause feels like a breath I didn’t know I needed—a soft break from routine, a shift into a slower, quieter rhythm of life with family.
There is something comforting about stepping away from the familiar and leaning into a different pace, even if only for a few weeks. The days feel softer here, though I catch myself missing the warmth of the sun… I think.
In this in-between space, I created a Zentangle tile on tan, using black, brown, and white pens. Tangles like Palrevo, Molygon, O, and Sprouts found their way onto the surface—almost like a reflection of this transition. A little unfamiliar, a little comforting, and quietly exciting.
