Movement and stillness

Movement and stillness

There is something profoundly humbling about the thought that all of us are floating in this vast universe. Suspended in an endless expanse, we are constantly moving—spinning, orbiting, drifting—yet never colliding into chaos. It feels almost magical, this silent choreography that unfolds every moment without pause.

What fascinates me most is the quiet order within this immensity. There is a rhythm—steady, dependable, almost poetic. Planets follow their paths, tides respond, stars pulse with light. Amidst all this motion, there is balance.

This sense of flow and connection inspired the tile I created. I allowed the lines to move freely, letting them wander and curve, much like elements in the cosmos. And yet, each stroke remained gently anchored, interwoven with the others, creating a sense of unity.

It became a visual meditation on movement and stillness coexisting. Just like how even in our own lives, where everything seems to be in motion, there is an underlying rhythm holding us together—quietly, beautifully, and always.
