I am back, continuing the journey of PP28, and today’s tile marks Day 06. This project draws inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci’s fascinating explorations of feathers and wings. His curiosity about flight, movement, and the mechanics of nature has always been deeply inspiring. As I began this tile, those ideas gently guided my imagination.
While Da Vinci studied the structure of wings, I allowed myself the freedom to add my own twist to the concept. The patterns slowly evolved like layered feathers, each line suggesting motion, lightness, and lift. The process felt both thoughtful and intuitive, as if the tile itself was discovering its own rhythm.
As I worked, my mind kept returning to the idea of flight. Not just the flight of birds or wings, but the flight of everything — the courage to move into the unknown, to step away from familiar comforts. Sometimes flight is not about escaping, but about rising above and zooming out, gaining a wider perspective while still moving with a sense of balance and intention.
These quiet thoughts played through my mind me as I chose each tangle and added touches of white to bring light and depth to the tile. The act of tangling often creates a gentle space where reflections surface naturally.
And somewhere within those reflections, one wish kept returning — a wish for peace.
Not because peace is the highest goal in life.
But because it is the most fundamental requirement.
