Lines & Resonance

Lines & Resonance

Last Sunday, my studio transformed into a quiet sanctuary of sound and line. What unfolded was a beautiful coming together of mindful art and healing vibration — a Zentangle and singing bowl experience that felt both grounding and uplifting.

My co-presenter Divya began the session with the gentle resonance of the singing bowl. As its soothing tones filled the room, she guided us softly into our breath — slow inhales, unhurried exhales — inviting everyone to arrive fully in the present moment. The sound seemed to settle into our bodies, creating a calm, spacious rhythm within.

From that space of awareness, I led the group into Zentangle. One mindful line at a time, we allowed the breath to guide the pen. The repetition of patterns, the quiet focus, and the subtle shading felt even more meditative when carried on waves of sound. It was beautiful to watch everyone relax into their tiles — no rush, no pressure, just gentle attention.

There was a palpable sense of ease in the studio. An entire hour slipped by unnoticed. By the end, the room felt lighter, hearts felt fuller, and smiles said everything words could not.

Our tile from this special session — grateful for this circle of presence and creativity.
