Revisiting Forgotten Lines

Revisiting Forgotten Lines

This week’s tile felt like reconnecting with old friends. I picked up tangles I hadn’t reached for in a while—O-Curly, Ynix, Starukas, and Zonked—and let them guide the flow without overthinking.

The tan tile brought a quiet earthiness to the piece, softening every line and making the whites gently glow. There’s a certain comfort in working on this surface—it slows you down, asks you to be present, and rewards patience.

As I moved from one tangle to another, the composition evolved naturally, almost intuitively. Some sections felt structured, others free and playful. It became less about the outcome and more about the experience of drawing itself.

Revisiting these tangles reminded me that inspiration doesn’t always come from the new. Sometimes, it lies waiting in what we already know—ready to feel different, if we meet it with a fresh state of mind.
