A quiet midweek moment on a tan tile, simply keeping up with my weekly Zentangle® practice. I often enjoy revisiting tangles I haven’t used in a while, and this week I picked Wrapped Rose, I Can This, Moonpie, and Mooka. Old tangles often reveal new possibilities when revisited after a long time.
Wrapped Rose, especially, is such a delightful tangle to explore. With every step, it slowly unfolds into something richer and more elegant. I still find myself hesitating when it’s time to add the black to the petals, worried I might lose its softness. But each time, I remind myself to trust the process. That little leap of faith always transforms the piece. By the time the shading begins, the tangle comes alive with depth and movement, turning into something unexpectedly beautiful.
These small weekly practices continue to teach me patience, rhythm, and the joy of simply showing up to create.
